Season 3
"I'm on Setanta Sports" might be gone but it sure was not the last we saw of some by now familiar puppet faces! It worked out only the name of the show had changed and without any real break between Season 2 of the show and Season 3 - at the beginning of 2009, the third season - now called "Special 1 TV" launched following the second half of the 2008-09 season just a few weeks later.
#1 Special 1 TV is Here!
#2 Jose gives his take on the Transfer Window
David (now in Milan) continues to call in continuing his love in with Sven. Last season we had the "Berba Appeal" - Season 3 launches the sad "Robbie's Story" - could he try Newcastle? Liverpool's season is "imploding" so Rafa is naturally picked on. Jose gets a call from the White House from none other than Barrack from Washington!
Episode 2 shows Sven's preparations for the important Mexico v USA coming up, Then what follows is for me probably the most funny moment in ANY of the shows - period. I am talking about Jose - Voyeur and his new Russian signing. We hear Wayne shouting "Get me the tank!" for the first time. Just when you think the Arshavin joke is over - don't miss near the Didier Drogba comment nearer the end.

#3 Tom Cruise calls the show!
Bonus - Short - Sven with Puppet Ronnie
Episode 3 starts where #2 left off! More on the Arshavin joke and then more on "Managers on the Edge" following Sven's 2-0 defeat as Mexico manager against USA. I cracked up hearing Wayne trying to get his throat around saying "CONACAF". The Gene Hackman has waved goodbye to Chelsea. Jose even then says "Guus - you are just keeping my seat warm" - so ironic when you consider what happened at the end of 2015. David (in Milan) gets into conversation with Tom (Cruise) in L.A. In the bonus - short Sven gets a chance to work Puppet Ronnie.
#4 Och Hell Jose! Special 1 TV in German
#5 Jose phones "It" in
Wayne Rooney is dropped and Jose actually calls The Voyeur! We also see Special 1 TV German version!! We see inside the Inter dressing room at half time and puppet Ronnie prepares for the return leg wearing his diving equipment. Sven hosts Ep 5 as Jose fails to show up following Inter's defeat to Manchester United - will Sven be able to handle it?
#6 Introducing "The Potato"
#7 Wayne nurses the Puppet Ronnie
Ep 6 starts with a quick pop at Gary Lineker. Rafa's Liverpool seemed to have profited as they beat a tired Man Utd 4-1. We then go to Special 1 TV - USA! with their version of the Jerry Springer show with Jose and Sven at war. Guus gets a Top 5 of nicknames - "Shut up Potato!"
Ep 7 aired on the 4th April, 2009 - just three days after Alan Shearer had taken over the reigns to try and save Newcastle United from the drop - but who else was after the job at St.James Park? Wayne practices fatherhood with Puppet Ronnie and Nelson (South Africa) calls in, Fabio is briefly seen as the latest rounds of World Cup qualifiers have been played. This also signalled the end of Sven's reign at Mexico following a 1-3 defeat to Honduras - and the Mexicans showed their appreciation!

#8 Cabbageman gets his Lapdance
#9 Managers on Unemployment
Ep 8 sees Wayne sporting his new watch - a gift from Sir Alex. We now see Speciale Uno TV from Italia in which Sven gives Fabio (now referred to as "Cabbageman") a lap dance! Rafa and Potato get talking but are too nice so Jose gets Roy Keane on the phone but that also fails. In Ep 9 - with "Potato" Guus insisting he will be leaving - who will be the next "Special" manager at Chelsea? Roy Keane and Roy Hodgson are hidden in a managers on the dole piece - although the third manager looking for work is not! Could Sven be looking to return to Manchester City?
#10 Roy is back in Town
#11 Swine Flu
After the previous Managers on the Dole piece - Roy Keane gets a job at Ipswich and is thankful to Jose - but is it more about his dog than him? Wayne becomes Susan Boyle and Sven dances like The Voyeur! We get another Arshavin joke after the Russian hits all four for Arsenal against Liverpool. Sir Alex and Rafa go to war on the phone. Sven points out that Didier Drogba's name was spelt incorrectly in the previous show - he was right!
In Ep 11 - Jose becomes Dr. Who with Wayne as Davros and Sven as a dalek! Has Sven become a Canadian Mountie for a reason and has he brought back swine flu from Mexico with him? With Wolves gaining promotion, Mick (from Wolverhampton) McCarthy makes an early appearance. Frank (Chelsea) calls in and seems extremely agitated - this coincided with a real life rant that he had on a live phone in on LBC with James O'Brien.

#12 Wormhole/Champions League
#13 Wayne's Eurovision & Puppet Ronnie's Workout
"Get me the tank" makes it into the Oxford English dictionary. Wayne ridicules Arsenal for their awful start against United in the 2nd leg of the all-English Champions League semi-final - but is The Voyeur in denial or has he moved into a parallel universe? We take in the "pirate" Swedish edition of Special 1 TV with Sven hosting of course. Jose pummels Didier for his reaction to defeat at the end of their semi-final with Barcelona. A match in which Barca scored the decisive goal deep into injury time and Chelsea had had at least four strong penalty appeals turned down each time.
In Ep 13 - Wayne is live from the Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow. We get to see an ad for Puppet Ronnie's new DVD which features a a special bonus DVD on the theory on simulation (brilliant!)

Ep 14 aired at the end of May 2009 and therefore the end of the season. Wayne introduces the "Carlos" appeal with Sven wearing a Tevez wig - interesting how the appeal included paying his agent a handsome fee! All the phone regulars sign up for next season - even Dave from Newcastle. We then get to see Barrack puppet live from Washington!
Ep 15 aired on FA Cup Final day and was an extended best of series episode. This also includes clips from I'm on Setanta Sports.
At the end of June, 2009 - Setanta Sports UK ceased trading and therefore there were no plans for any new series for the following season. We would have to wait just about a whole year before the show returned during the World Cup 2010 - on the BBC!
